Hybrid cloud

A hybrid cloud is a combination of the public and private cloud types. For some organizations, it is a best of both worlds approach. With a hybrid cloud, an organization can have the benefits of a private cloud, but can still leverage the public cloud when it is needed.

Functionality that has higher volume and lower security needs could be hosted in a public cloud, while more mission-critical functionality and sensitive data can be served from a private cloud. Using a hybrid cloud can give an organization the control it needs from a private cloud with the flexibility to leverage the public cloud where it makes sense to do so.
