Presenting at a user group or conference

In addition to attending a user group or conference, you may be able to participate in some of them. Conferences and user groups need speakers and they may have openings at their next event.

While you may not have the opportunity to speak at any conference of your choosing, and some conferences may be prohibitively difficult for you to attend due to factors such as location and cost, you may be able to find one that you can attend. Search online and ask colleagues about user groups that meet up in your area, and about upcoming conferences that will be taking place nearby.
