Communication and leadership

One of the most important aspects of leadership is effective communication. It is because of this that communication was covered first in this chapter. Leadership and communication skills are highly interconnected. Whether or not you can be an effective leader is dependent on your communication skills. Communication skills help you to connect with others and this connection is necessary in order to lead. Whether you are sharing your vision, providing technical guidance, delegating tasks, mentoring others, or reporting status to management, you need to be able to communicate effectively.
