Private cloud

A private cloud is made up of resources that are used exclusively by one organization. The physical resources can either be located at an organization's own data center or that of a third-party provider. Either way, all of the infrastructure is dedicated to a single organization. In contrast with a public cloud, it is a single tenant implementation.

Private clouds are costlier with more modest economies of scale. However, an organization will have greater flexibility in customizing the environment to meet its needs.
