Concreteness

Concreteness involves being specific about what you say or write, as opposed to being vague and general. Concreteness helps to bring clarity to your message as it is less likely to be misinterpreted. Misunderstandings can create problems for both the sender and the recipient of a message, so it is best to be concrete when possible.

Use specific facts and figures rather than imprecise descriptions. Doing so will enhance your message and make it more interesting. Perhaps most importantly, being concrete makes it easier to communicate the full meaning of your message. However, do not give specific details if you do not have that level of information or if the exact figures are irrelevant to your message.
