Finding opportunities to teach

Teaching can be done in a variety of ways. It is not as if it has to be conducted in a formal meeting or classroom setting. Perhaps one of the best and most frequent opportunities for you to guide others will be at your job. There will be teaching opportunities for you on any given workday.

As you work with your development team, you will undoubtedly encounter many situations in which you will want to explain something, provide guidance, or suggest an approach. If you conduct design or code reviews, those are excellent times that you can point things out to your team members. Remember to remain positive and encouraging when providing your feedback.
