Clarity is important to have in your communications. If your audience is not clear about what you are trying to say, your communication cannot be effective. The term clear is occasionally used in place of clarity. The message you are communicating should be understandable and clear to the people who are receiving it.
Consider your audience as well as your purpose when communicating with others. For example, if your audience is not very technical but you are discussing a technical topic, think about the language that you choose to use and how you elect to communicate your message. If you are going to use terms that a recipient may not understand, clarify their meaning.
