Reasons for change

Changes might be initiated for technical or business reasons. From a technical perspective, some of the reasons that a software system may change include the use of new programming languages, frameworks, persistence technologies, and tools. New operating systems or versions of operating systems may need to be supported. There may be changes in the hardware that affect the software in some way. Your organization may decide to alter how an application is deployed, such as moving it to the cloud.
