There are a number of issues with the Waterfall approach. Testing does not begin until after all implementation is complete, so there is no testing feedback until later in the life cycle. Users do not receive a working version of the software until the very end, so valuable feedback can't be provided until that time. Users can have difficulty visualizing the final product from just the requirements documentation and may miss important requirements. Although mock-ups and wireframes can minimize this issue, it's not the same as having a working version of the software throughout an iterative approach.
