Replatform
Some legacy applications cannot be migrated to a cloud platform but an organization does not want to simply retain them in their current environment. For this type of situation, the application can be run on cloud-based IaaS servers using emulators. The application is emulated through a virtual machine to make it compatible with cloud technologies. This approach allows you to migrate to a newer platform/operating system and take advantage of its features. There are a number of tools and services available to assist with replatforming.
