Exercise 2.1. Fitting a Biped to a Mesh

In this exercise, you’ll fit a biped to a gymnast model. This part of the Character Studio process usually takes a lot of time, even for experienced users. Go slowly and make sure you do each step correctly before going on to the next one. Position all body parts as close as possible to the center of the mesh’s corresponding part.

Tip

When shaping the biped, learn to ignore the Perspective viewport. Your biped will go through a lot of changes before it is completely posed, so leave the Perspective viewport alone until the biped looks good in all the other viewports.
