Chapter 6. Advanced Footsteps

As you’re probably beginning to see, there are many ways to work with footsteps—all designed to create the animation you want with a minimum of effort. By working with footstep placement and numbering, and with the footstep keys in the Dope Sheet, you can make almost anything happen with footsteps.

In this chapter, you’ll move on from automatic footsteps to manual placement. Automatic footsteps can provide you with a basis for your animation, but manual placement and timing is necessary for most custom sequences.
