Exercise 9.3. Swingin’ Biped

In this exercise, you’ll animate a character on a backyard swing.

1.
Load the file Swing.max from the CD. This file contains a child on a swing.
2.
Select the named selection set Child Parts, and hide it. Then unhide the biped with the named selection set Biped. Once the biped is unhidden, clear the selection set or subsequent steps won’t work cleanly.

3.
Play the animation. The swing currently moves out from under the biped. Our job will be to make the biped move along with the swing.

Go to frame 0.
