Mixdowns

Remember, the animation in the Motion Mixer affects the biped only if Mixer mode is turned on (the default state when Motion Mixer is opened). However, you can “glue” the Motion Mixer animation to the biped so that it affects the biped even when you exit Mixer mode. You do this by performing a mixdown on the animation and applying it to the biped.

A mixdown takes all the motion in the Motion Mixer and turns it into a single animation file that you can apply to the biped. After the file is applied to the biped, you can exit the Motion Mixer and turn off Mixer mode, and the biped will still perform the motions. In addition, you can then save the entire motion as a BIP file in the usual way.
