Suppose you want to create an animation with a biped standing in a moving subway car, holding onto an overhead handle. You’d want the biped’s feet to stay on the floor and its hand to stay on the handle, while its body moves around with the motion of the subway. We could do this with techniques we’ve already seen in this chapter, but here we’ll create this effect with Biped’s Anchor tools. These tools let you temporarily fix the arms and legs in space. They’re legacy functions from the earliest versions of the software—but don’t discount them for being old; they still work.
