Linking Objects to Delegates

Once the delegates are moving as planned, you can link objects to delegates to make them move as the delegates move. Ordinary linking is used, but Character Studio has tools to make it easy to align objects with delegates and link them together.

Tip

After you align and link objects to delegates, you can still make changes to the simulation and solve it. This will work even if delegates are hidden. The linked objects will move with the delegates in the new animation.

Before linking objects to delegates, make sure the objects’ local Y axes are pointing in the direction that you consider “forward” for the object. Character Studio’s automatic alignment tools always align objects’ local Y axes with the direction in which ...
