Track View

In Track View - Dope Sheet you can see the keys that are automatically created by footsteps for the hips, spine, and arms. (A track is simply a slot that goes across in time from the start of the animation to the end.) Right-click any of these biped objects and choose Dope Sheet to navigate directly to their keys. They are represented by color-coded key dots: red for position, green for rotation, and blue for scale. There are quite a number of dots for each biped.

With ordinary 3ds Max objects, you’re accustomed to seeing tracks such as Position, Rotation, and Scale for each object. Character Studio objects, however, generally have only one track, called Transform. This track can be expanded to reveal the Biped Sub-Anim track, which ...
