Last but not least are the transition requirements. These types of requirements define what is needed to transition from a project or a pre-production solution to an operational solution or to transition from the current state to the future state.
An example of a transition requirement is as follows: to migrate all existing employee payroll information from the current manual systems to the new payroll calculator database.
The reason this example is a transition requirement is that once all the data has been migrated successfully to the new system, the requirement is complete and will not be required beyond the temporary tasks of migrating data.
