Purpose

According to the BABOK® v3 guide, the purpose of the Approve Requirements task is to do the following:

"… obtain agreement on and approval of requirements and designs for business analysis work to continue and/or solution construction to proceed."

A key responsibility of business analysts is to ensure clear communication of requirements, designs, and other business analysis information to the stakeholders who are responsible for approving the business analysis information.
