When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Why do you want an increase?
Who doesn't want to be paid more, right? It is, however, very important to do a bit of introspection and really find those specific reasons why you want to earn more, such as the following:
- What will be different when you earn more?
- What could you do then that you cannot do today?
- What else would be possible?
Some of you will have reasons such as My kids will be able to get a better education, or I can give them something they have been asking for, or I can take my family on a more luxurious holiday every year. All of these reasons are very good as long as they also include a reward for you, and only you!
