How can policies impact a suggested solution?

Policies can be seen as a set of rules that provide guidance to staff on behavior and actions; they also address routine operations. The policies of an organization can impact the possibility of implementing a specific solution if the solution does not meet or is in conflict with the organization's policy requirements within a particular context.

Let's consider a practical example: A company needs to employ a new accountant. Among the applicants for the position is a family member of one of the existing staff members. If there is a policy that exists that states family members of existing staff may not be employed, this application must be denied.
