When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Purpose
According to the BABOK® v3 guide, the purpose of the Maintain Requirements task is to do the following:
" … retain requirement accuracy and consistency throughout and beyond the change during the entire requirements life cycle, and to support reuse of requirements in other solutions."
To understand the purpose of this task better, consider the following example:
Consider building a vehicle that is designed to perform at the peak of its group and level, such as a race car.
There are certain specific requirements, for example, rules and regulations around vehicle weight, engine size, and capacity. These are prescribed by the racing industry and must be followed in order for a new car to be eligible to compete.
