Element 3: Reusing requirements

It will drastically decrease the time spent on future analysis of requirements if certain requirements can be reused and are documented.

During the course of an initiative, you will often find that there are some requirements that can be reused, either in different areas of the business or within other current projects.

Generally speaking, requirements that are described at an abstract level or have a somewhat general nature lend themselves to being candidates for reuse. These types of requirements are often stable and don't have specific reference to a particular solution or situation.
