It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The Google News home page itself, included as a gadget
An older, but also ofcial gadgetized version of the Google News home page is available at the

The gadget will show three stories—or more, if you edit the settings—on any chosen keyword, as
shown in Figures 6-16 and 6-17.
There are also a couple of topic-specic standalone gadgets available from Google, such as:
