The Google News home page itself, included as a gadget

An older, but also ofcial gadgetized version of the Google News home page is available at the
following URL: http://www.google.com/ig/modules/builtin_news_customized.xml.
The gadget will show three stories—or more, if you edit the settings—on any chosen keyword, as
shown in Figures 6-16 and 6-17.
There are also a couple of topic-specic standalone gadgets available from Google, such as:

Tech news: http://www.google.com/ig/modules/builtin_news_technology.xml

Just as you can include the full Google home page as described earlier, you can also include the
mobile-optimized version (pictured in Figure 6-18). You can nd a gadget wrapper for it at the
following address: http://blogoscoped.com/home page/google-news.xml.

Google also has a Recommended News gadget available for you. You can nd it located at: http://
www.google.com/ig/modules/recommendations/recommended_news.xml. This widget is tailored
to your personal Google News usage. For instance, if you are searching for “classical composers”
a lot, then you might get a new recommendation for a news story on Bach. Figure 6-19 shows how
