Feedback helps shape your blog—nd it.
Every blog post of yours can be a part of a larger conversation. Perhaps you’ve written something
in reaction to another blog article, and now someone else continues the discussion and writes
something at their blog in reaction to your post. To keep track of the “replies” you are getting this
way, you can discover posts by others that include a link to your post.
To check for these backlinks, you can use Google Blog Search at http://blogsearch.google.com.
Note that it won’t show all links, but it will show some. When searching, use the link operator as in
the following query example , where “http://example.com/323.html” would be the permalink to your
blog entry:
link:http://example.com/323.html
If you omit the link operator, Google Blog Search still knows what you mean and will add it automatically.
You will now get a list of blog articles discussing your article, similar to what is shown in Figure 10-33.
Click the link reading “Sort by date” in the top right to get the latest reactions rst; otherwise,
Google will order results by relevance. Note that you can subscribe to these backlinks results via the
Atom/RSS links on result pages.
