However, to hide the messages sent to you by Gmail Drive, you can add a lter . Click
“Create a lter” and enter the word “gmailfs” in the subject input box. Click “Next Step” and check
the “Skip the Inbox” and “Apply the Label. . . ” options. Create a new label named “Gmail Drive” (or
any other name that you prefer). Now save your lter and you’re done, as shown in Figure 5-24.
By storing your text documents, spreadsheets, ZIP les, movies, music, and other les this way, you
can access them from any desktop computer or laptop around the world, as long as it’s got Gmail
Drive installed. And even if you are on a computer that doesn’t allow you to install new programs,
like in an Internet café, you can go back to your Gmail account to nd your les. Your only limitation
with this approach is the storage limitation of Gmail itself. If you want to increase your email storage,

Another option for storing les with Gmail is GmailFS, the Gmail Filesystem. This mountable Linux
