To change your settings later, click the down-pointing arrow next to your calendar name in the list of
calendars that appears on the left side of the screen, and select the Notications option.
Another way to keep up-to-date is to view Google Calendar on your mobile phone. Just access
http://calendar.google.com on your mobile browser and you will see the latest events, as shown in
Figure 7-4. This isn’t a full calendar application—for instance, you will not be able to delete items—
but you can still add events. To do so, scroll down to the Quick Add box and enter, for example,
“picnic with Mary at 4pm tomorrow.”
Note that if you’re accessing Google Calendar from the iPhone, you will see a special version of the mobile
variant, as shown in Figure 7-5.
If you’re in the United States, you can also create new events on your mobile phone by sending an
SMS to the number 48368 (“GVENT”). This feature supports the full Quick Add syntax, such as
“dinner with niraj on saturday at 8pm” . Additionally, you can ask the GVENT number to send
you an SMS detailing your next event (send “next”, without the quotes, to 48368), today’s full schedule
(send “day”), or tomorrow’s schedule (send “nday”). For this to work, ensure you’ve congured your
calendar via Settings→Mobile Setup as outlined earlier in this hack. ...
