family, or you just want to explore other offerings to nd
alternative features, take a look at Zoho, EditGrid, and others.
Zoho, similar to Google Docs, is a free online ofce application suite. It comes complete with a rich
text editor (Zoho Writer), a spreadsheet editor (Zoho Sheet), a presentation editor (Zoho Show),
and more. You can register for an account at http://zoho.com, shown in Figure 1-29.
After signing up, you’ll get an email with a conrmation link. Click the link, and you are ready to
create your rst document. In Figure 1-30, you can see a spreadsheet listing people’s ages and
occupations. The average age was calculated using the AVERAGE formula. The chart graphic was
inserted using the Add Chart toolbar icon, then choosing the Stacked Column 3D type. As with
Google Docs, after preparing your document, you can share it with a selected group of people, or
publish it as a web page for all to see.
With Zoho Writer, you can create word processing documents, as shown in Figure 1-31. You can style
your document in a variety of ways, include images or smileys, run a spellchecker, or graphically
