Put your feed items on your cellphone, or on iGoogle.
As is the case with many to most Google products, Google Reader is available in a special mobile-
friendly version. Point your phone’s web browser to http://google.com/reader/m to access
your items, as shown in Figure 8-12. You will see a list of the latest titles, as well as their source
publications, and you can navigate to specic tags or feed subscriptions. To increase the length of
this reading list, switch to the mobile settings page and adjust it.
If your phone supports it, you can press the numbers 1–9 as shortcuts to jump to an item. Each
individual post will be rendered through Google Reader again, optimized for smaller displays. If you
don’t like the reformatting, you can also disable this option in the Google Reader mobile settings. A
link named “See original,” below the post—accessible by pressing 1—takes you to the source. If you
want to keep the item for later review on the desktop, you can also star it by pressing *.

If you want to display Google Reader as a gadget for your personalized Google home page at
http://igoogle.com, you have two options. First, there is an ofcial gadget for this purpose. Log in
