You can export a Google Spreadsheet to an embeddable
HTML format, which you can then include in your blog or any
other web page.
There are different ways to include spreadsheet data in a web page, such as a blog posting. You can
export the spreadsheet to HTML and copy that into your web site’s HTML editor, for instance. This is
a good quick and dirty way to do it, but as you’ll see, there are better ways.
Let’s start with a spreadsheet listing album releases of the Beatles, as shown in Figure 3-8.
I compiled the Beatles discography data with a little help from the Google Music service, which you can nd by
performing a Google.com web search for “beatles” and then clicking on the album image shown in the results.

this is a read-only view of the data, but you can make a copy by choosing File
→Copy spreadsheet.
To export the discography data as HTML, select File→Export→HTML from the Spreadsheets
menu. A new browser window will open; view the HTML source of the page, and look for the
second opening “table” tag. Copy everything from (and including) this tag, up to (and including)
