A CAPTCHA in action

Your blog is protected by another mechanism, the rel="nofollow" attribute value. This HTML
attribute differentiates a link posted by you from a link posted by a commenter, disabling that link’s
value to search engine rankings. As a better search engine ranking for their linked site is what many
spammers are after, this may reduce the incentive for spammers to post comments to your blog.
Note that you can’t turn off the “nofollow” setting, as it’s a global value active for all Blogspot blogs.

For many occasions, even the best site navigation doesn’t beat a
quick site search. Make sure to offer one for your site if it contains
many pages.
When you create a web site with Google Page Creator (see the introduction to this chapter), unlike
with a Blogspot blog, there will be no site search engine added to it automatically. It’s still possible
to add one manually though using the Google Custom Search Engine (CSE) program. This search
allows your visitors, as well as you, to quickly nd older pages hosted on the site.

For a Custom Search Engine to work as a site search, your web site must already be indexed in
Google web search. Unfortunately, there’s no simple switch to just activate this, as it may take days
