The geotagging dialog
As you can see in Figure 9-19, the photos are already displayed in a Google Maps widget. But you are
also able to export the geographical metadata to drop it into the external Google Maps site—and
from there, into your own site.
For this step, you need to grab a le of the KML format. KML means Keyhole Markup Language;
Keyhole was the company that originally developed the program that was later turned into Google
Earth, the 3D-view desktop application sibling of Google Maps. You will nd the address of the le on
your album page as well as your album map page, with the View in Google Earth link. Right-click the
link, then use the menu that appears to copy its URL. The address will look similar to the following:
