257 - HIDE THE ADS IN YOUR GOOGLE GROUP
HaCK
# 105
HaCK 105:
Battle information overow by hiding ads.
If you maintain or visit a Google group (see the introduction to this chapter), there may be ads
showing on the right side of some discussion threads. Although you can’t disable them globally for
all users—even if you are the owner of the group—you can disable them for yourself if you use the
Firefox browser.
Before using tools that modify the appearance of a web site you are using, it is your responsibility to review
the most recent terms of service to ensure that your activities do not conict with those terms—for example,
some sites require that you accept ads as part of their terms of use; other display elements may be specied
as well.
