I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Like iGoogle, Netvibes and Pageakes, Protopage (http://protopage.com) is a personalized start
page. However, its layout differs substantially from the aforementioned services. Instead of a rigid
grid layout, Protopage allows you to freely move your widget windows around on the page, as shown
in Figure 6-27. You can also enable the auto-arrange option at the bottom to avoid overlapping of
gadget windows.
At the top right of Protopage, there is a search box that expands when you hover over it; from
Amazon search to Wikipedia search, Google, eBay, and Yahoo, there’s a lot of useful default
engines provided. If this isn’t enough for your taste, you can also add to this dialog by clicking the
“Customize list” link at its bottom.
