Take some time to browse through the different YouTube tabs on top showing categories and
channels, or use the YouTube search box to nd content on your favorite topics—from origami
tutorials and tech talks to student pranks or music videos. Also check out your My Account page
linked at the top; this is your personal control center to modify prole settings or go back to videos
that you’ve added.
To upload a video, click the Upload button and provide your video details, such as tags (related
keywords for your video), description, and title. You can then either record a video with your
webcam, or pick an existing le from your hard disk to upload and convert. YouTube supports the le
formats WMV, MPG, MOV, and AVI.
When you add videos, YouTube warns that they don’t allow you to upload copyrighted content but
also note that under U.S. laws, you have certain “Fair Use” rights to use some copyrighted material.

In any case, you will not be able to upload videos that are longer than 10 minutes, which is one of the
