“You are what people think you are”? Well, not quite . . . but public
perception is important feedback to what you do. Why not track it?
If your company, school, organization, or favorite football team (or perhaps even you?) happen to
be big enough to have an entry in online encyclopedia Wikipedia, it might be worthwhile for you to
see which changes are being made to it. This way you can keep up on the public perception—and
occasionally public misconception—of whatever entity it is you care about. All you need to do is to
nd the RSS/Atom feed for the Wikipedia entry, and you can subscribe to it using Google Reader.

First, check to see whether Wikipedia contains an entry on whatever you’re interested in. You can
start with a Google search using the query “Acme Inc site:wikipedia.org” (no quotes), where “Acme
Inc” is the name of your company, organization, school, and so on. If you don’t nd anything among
the rst few results, try visiting http://wikipedia.org directly to use its native search functionality.
Once you found the entry, copy the page name as shown in the URL; if the URL is http://
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acme, your page name would be “Acme”. Then use the following feed URL, ...
