A work area 4 to 6 feet long is usually convenient for an average per-
son. The width of the work tables may range from 24 to 30 inches. A height
of 34 to 36 inches is adequate for work tables. However, whenever possi-
ble, adjustable table heights are desirable. All these factors should be taken
into consideration while planning, as they directly affect the productivity of
