Multi-Threaded Server/Shared Server

The following views provide information on how the Multi-Threaded Server (MTS) or Shared Server (with Oracle9i) systems are configured and performing:

*$CIRCUIT

Contains information about the virtual circuits used to connect users to the instance.

*$DISPATCHER

Provides information about the various configured dispatcher processes.

*$DISPATCHER_RATE

Provides statistics about the dispatcher processes’ throughput.

*$MTS

Provides information about the overall activity of the MTS/Shared Server.

*$QUEUE

Provides statistics about the MTS message queue.

*$REQDIST

Provides a 12-bucket histogram of the distribution of request service times. This width-balanced histogram shows the number of hits in each of the 12 consistent times. The sizes of the buckets are allowed to change over time.

*$SHARED_SERVER

Shows the status of the each of the Shared Servers.
