Wizards

A wizard is an automated tool that is used to perform specific tasks, with minimal input from the user. Enterprise Manager comes with the following wizards:

Analyze Wizard

Collects and manages statistics.

Backup and Recovery Management Wizards

Help to back up and restore databases and subsidiary entities, such as tablespaces, datafiles, and archive logs. These Wizards provide a wide range of functionality and act as an interface to RMAN, the Recovery Manager, covered in Chapter 15.

Create Table Wizard

Guides you through the creation of tables and columns.

Cube Wizard

Helps to build multidimensional data cubes.

Data Management Wizard

Performs imports, exports, and data loads.

Dimension Creation Wizard

Used to build dimensions for a data warehouse.

Resource Plan Wizard

Groups user sessions for creating resource groups.

Summary Advisor Wizard

Provides advice on creating and dropping materialized views.

View Wizard

Guides you through the creation of views.
