REVOKE {{privilege | role}[,{privilege | role} ...]
 | ALL PRIVILEGES
FROM {username | rolename | PUBLIC}
 [,{username | rolename | PUBLIC} ...]

Removes a system privilege or role from one or more users and/or roles.

Keywords

privilege

Name of a system privilege to be revoked. See Chapter 4 for details.

role

Name of a role to be revoked. See Chapter 4 for details.

username

Name of a user from whom a privilege or role is to be revoked.

rolename

Name of a role from which a privilege or role is to be revoked.

PUBLIC

Specifies that the granted privilege or role no longer be available to all users by default.
