OS_AUTHENT_PREFIX
Value: any valid string
Default: OPS$
Specifies the prefix that is concatenated to the beginning of every user’s operating system username to allow Oracle to authenticate users with the user’s operating system account name and password. The value of this prefixed username is compared with the Oracle usernames in the database when a connection request is attempted. This mechanism has no effect for Oracle accounts that are not created using the IDENTIFIED EXTERNALLY keywords.
