Name

ORACLE_TRACE_ENABLE

Synopsis

Value: TRUE | FALSE

Default: FALSE

Dynamic: ALTER SYSTEM, ALTER SESSION

Specifies whether the Oracle Trace collections for the server should be enabled. If TRUE, does not start an Oracle Trace collection but allows Oracle Trace to be used for that server. Oracle Trace can then be started by using the Oracle Trace Manager application with the Oracle Enterprise Manager Diagnostic Pack, by using the Oracle Trace command-line interface, or by specifying a name in the ORACLE_TRACE_COLLECTION_NAME parameter.
