These services, and any others you might be running on your machine, make up what is effectively the OS you're running.

If you're like me, you may find yourself playing around with this list in your spare time, trying to figure out which bits you can disable, and still have a functioning system at the end.

My advice would generally be to leave the defaults as they are, because you never know what random job is cleaning a temporary directory for you without you even realizing it.

Default services are frequently disabled as part of hardening tasks; if you ever find yourself having to harden a system, the usual rules apply. Look into what the current best practices are, and see if your vendor has a ready-made guide.
