Getting ready

Using the example from the last recipe, you've discovered that the website you're looking at is going slow because of a stored procedure running against the database. You've determined that this stored procedure runs weekly, and that it ran successfully last Sunday, where it took about an hour to complete before everything went back to normal, and no alarms were triggered.

Now, though, it's been an hour and a half, with no obvious sign of the stored procedure finishing its run. You should note what you've found, make a note of the time that you found it, and inform whoever you need to that you believe you've found the source of the problem.
