virsh

It's perfectly possible to use Virsh as a series of commands on the command line, in the traditional Unix style of <command> <flag> <argument> that we've seen previously.

However, it's also perfectly acceptable to use Virsh interactively, in its own mode.

Start the Virsh Terminal by using the following:

$ sudo virshWelcome to virsh, the virtualization interactive terminal.Type: 'help' for help with commands       'quit' to quitvirsh #

Now, we're going to interact with the machine we created a moment before. Start by listing it on the command line:

virsh # list Id Name State---------------------------------------------------- 3 ex-alpine-2 running

By default, this command will show you running domains.

If we connect to our VM and hit Enter ...
