What restorecon does is check a file's context against what it expects to be true, and if it finds anything amiss, it will correct it with the static configuration it knows about.
When we ran the .autorelabel function, we effectively ran the fixfiles relabel command across our system at boot-time, prior to our touched file being deleted. What you'll notice is that this boot may take longer as it has more of a job to do when coming up.
