Time for another small rant!
One of the most annoying things that "cloud" has done has been to introduce the "solution" of "destroy and redeploy".
In the realm of temporary fixes, I consider the most egregious temporary fix to be "Oh, just tear down the solution and let it rebuild; that error happens sometimes."
This isn't a "fix", and it annoys me immensely when I hear it. Yes, we can simply destroy and recreate environments these days, at the drop of a hat usually, but that doesn't excuse the original error that caused your systems to break in the first place. If they did it once, there's every chance that they'll do it again, and if they wake me up in the middle of the night or interrupt my holiday to Egypt, someone ...
