Executing commands in our container

Next, we jumped inside our container, starting another (atop the one we've already started at creation time) shell session:

$ sudo docker exec -it ecstatic_lalande /bin/ash

Here, we executed a command by using an interactive session and another pseudo-TTY within our container (denoted here by its friendly name from docker ps).

This dropped us inside the container. If we then run top, we will see both instances of the /bin/ash command we've started:

Did you spot that one of the /bin/ash instances is PID 1?
