When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
9 Aramid
Aramids are a family of aromatic nylons. Common aramid brands include Kevlar, Nomex, and Twaron.
Meta-aramid fiber was first introduced in commercial applications in the early 1960s, produced by DuPont as HT-1 and then under the trade name Nomex.
Para-aramid fiber with much higher tenacity and elastic modulus was also developed in the 1960s and 1970s by DuPont and AkzoNobel. In 1973 DuPont introduced a para-aramid fiber, calling it Kevlar; this remains one of the best-known para-aramids and/or aramids. Akzo introduced a similar fiber with roughly the same chemical structure, calling it Twaron, in 1978.
