I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
91 Lignin
Lignin is a water-insoluble, long-chain, heterogeneous polymer composed largely of phenylpropane units, which are mostly linked by ether bonds.
The term lignin is derived from the Latin word lignum, meaning wood. It was initially separated from wood, described in a scientific description made by the French scientist Payen in 1838, and later specified by its modern name in 1857 by Schulze.
The chemical structure of lignin includes phenylpropane components linked from three aromatic alcohol ancestors: p-coumaryl, coniferyl, and sinapyl alcohols. The monolignol components are connected together by means of radical link reactions to form a complex three-dimensional polymer.
